In 2018, our team of recent graduates and college ministry staff moved from California to Evanston, Illinois to start a local church where everyone – Christians who want to grow in their faith, those curious about Christianity, or those who just want some delicious food – can find answers to their questions about God, Jesus, and Christianity.
For many of us, college was a memorable time. Though each of us came to college with different expectations and beliefs, we all became inspired by the church in Acts 2: a community of believers for whom “church” was more than a building, but a people, going through life together through the highs and lows, striving to share God’s love and the good news of the gospel: the story of Jesus, someone more than just an ancient figure from 2,000 years ago, but is still transforming people’s lives today.
Along the way, the Bible became more than just moral stories/an ancient book but personal realities for us, and we found ourselves becoming part of God’s story of inviting people to “come and see”.
So if you went to church, hated church, or just want to discuss questions about life, we invite you to “come and see”: the Bible, the God who reveals Himself, and our church community!
